The International Student Advisor will provide support for international students on the regional campuses (Middletown and Hamilton) by offering visa and immigration advising, SEVIS reporting, data management, foreign credential evaluation, and outreach to internal and external stakeholders regarding services and support for regional campus international students. The International Student Advisor will formally report to the Regional Director of the ELC and will also report to the Associate Director of International Student and Scholar Services for the purposes of visa and immigration advising. Approximately 70% of this position consists of advising regional campus international students; serve as Designated School Official (DSO); advise F-1 students on issues related to maintenance of legal status; handle SEVIS reporting, compliance, and case management; process visa documents and other related paperwork; provide data management, reporting, process improvement, and technical support related to regional campus international students. Approximately 20% of this position consists of evaluating foreign credentials of regional campus international students; communicate with prospective students, applicants, Quest Holdings International (QHI), and campus stakeholders regarding admission policies and procedures; evaluate foreign credentials to assist with admission decision processing; liaise with Admissions Office, One Stop, Academic Advising and other relevant stakeholders. Approximately 10% of this position consists of general support for international students; assist with international student orientation, programs, and workshops as needed; liaise with other campus units to provide training and advocacy related to international student support; follow university policies and procedures related to purchasing, accounts payable, personnel, payroll, volunteers, payroll, and participant travel; correspond with students, parents, faculty and staff with diplomacy, discretion and judgment
