Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of professional experience in study abroad/international education or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree in International Studies, Education or related field preferred. Must have demonstrated budget management and fiscal supervisory experience. Must have direct experience with SEVIS and F-1/J-1 regulations, procedures, and reporting requirements as ARO/DSO. Must possess an understanding of Department of State and Department of Homeland Security regulations and procedures. Must have the ability to work with academic and student services offices; understand and to support the pursuit of SEVIS documentations. Must have experience with website publication and maintenance. Some experience analyzing and interpreting data is preferred. Must have excellent public speaking skills and proficiency with technology; familiarity with student records systems, with knowledge of Banner preferred. Some international and domestic travel is required. Experience living, working, or studying abroad is preferred. Proficiency in one or more languages in addition to English is preferred. Non-traditional work hours as necessary (evenings, weekends, summer) are required to participate in University events and accommodate various time zones and to respond to international student and scholar needs and emergencies. Must be a US citizen or permanent resident, which is necessary for accessing SEVIS.
