Director of the Center for Global Citizenship
Centre College seeks to fill a full-time staff position of Director of the Center for Global Citizenship, to begin July 1, 2017. The ideal candidate should have work experience in higher education, a master’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in international education. Relevant experience may include directing programs abroad, developing and overseeing budgets for both on-campus work and off-campus programs. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: 1) a high level of intercultural awareness and competency; 2) excellent communication and interpersonal skills in working with students, faculty, staff, host country nationals, and parents; 3) the ability to effectively deal with crises and other challenging situations; 4) the capacity to develop sustainable institutional partnerships and develop collaborative relationships abroad; and 5) the ability to assess current and future off-campus programs. Opportunities are available to teach up to one class per year for qualified applicants. The Director of the Center for Global Citizenship reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. This is a 12-month, full-time staff commitment.
