The successful candidate for this position will become a subject matter expert in the area of employment. Some of the duties include assisting with the I9 system, processing H1B Applications, and helping users and applicants with all questions related to applying for a job and the hiring process at Utah State University.

Process H1B Visa applications for qualified foreign national employees.
Take ownership of the I9 and E-verify System and process.
Update & track employee work authorizations using the Banner and E-verify systems.
Ensure the University stays in compliance with the Department of Homeland Security regulations.
Investigate discrepancies on Self-Disclosure Forms (background checks).
Approve and apply assigned Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAF's).
Help internal users navigate the jobs system (jobs.usu.edu) and answer any questions they may have.
Assist applicants when issues/problems arise with their application.
Edit and prepare jobs to be posted.
Clean up/Close out positions on the jobs system.
Check and respond in a timely manner to emails in the JOBS email account.
Act as a back-up to advertising and the Dual Career Assistance/Reduction in Force process.
Take shifts on the Solution Center.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Title & salary will be commensurate based on the experience of the successful applicant.
As a Human Resources Coordinator II: • Two years of relevant work experience; OR an Associate's degree or Business Administrative Certificate
As a Human Resources Coordinator III: • Four years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree or Business Administrative Certificate PLUS 2 years of relevant work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree
