Incumbent will perform international student recruitment in Asia and other regions; and will manage programs and experiences that enhance the growth and development of students while they are in the U.S. The successful candidate, therefore, will demonstrate a blend of skill sets, including effectively working with prospective students and their parents, overseas high school counselors, and recruitment agencies; and providing training and supervision to students in developing, planning, and implementing social, educational, and cultural programs.
This is a full-time temporary position with no anticipated end date. The Project Manager will report to the Director of International Education and join the dynamic team comprising the Center for International Education (CIE). We have created a culture that values and practices horizontal accountability and prioritizes student success.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a field relating to the assigned responsibilities and at least three years of prior-work related experience. In order to receive full consideration, an applicant must submit a resume and cover letter specifically addressing qualifications for the position. An awarded Master’s degree is an added plus.
Prefer applicants with experience: (1) articulating the value and benefits of U.S. community college education and ‘closing the sale’ with prospective F-1 international students and their parents, (2) sustaining long-term, positive business relationships across cultures, (3) producing business plans based on research and with measurable goals and objectives, (4) developing and delivering training workshops and handbooks for international professionals, (5) articulating and applying student development concepts and theory; (6) planning, organizing, and delivering a wide range of student programs and services; (7) hiring, training, supervising and evaluating student employees, (8) leveraging web-based technologies, including web pages and social networking sites, (9) speaking, reading and writing in a foreign language, (10) living in another country; and (12) creating a culture in a higher education context that celebrates diversity and promotes intercultural learning.
Additional Salary Information: Starting salary will be the base (minimum). Position is benefits eligible.
