Description of Department: SUNY Oswego is recognized as a leader in international education nationally and within the State University of New York, offering a wide range of education abroad programs, international student services and recruiting, and campus international activities. The Office of International Education and Programs (OIEP) serves both domestic and international students, scholars, and campus colleagues for continued campus internationalization. The department has been recognized nationally and internationally by the leading international education professional organizations for excellence, innovation, and commitment to diversity, including: IIE, Diversity Abroad, AASCU, and others. OIEP supports international activities of the university’s academic departments, provides support for faculty members and departments to internationalize, and encourages a vibrant international campus culture. Description of SUNY Oswego: Founded in 1861, SUNY Oswego is a public comprehensive university located in Central New York on the beautiful shores of Lake Ontario, 45 minutes from Syracuse.
