University of Kansas Study Abroad & Global Engagement
The University of Kansas is a comprehensive educational and research institution with more than 28,000 students. KU has been a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities since 1909. The Lawrence Campus is the main campus of KU and occupies 1,000 acres on and around historic Mount Oread in Lawrence. The Medical Center is located 40 miles away in Kansas City, Kansas, and the Edwards Campus is located in Overland Park, Kansas. Study Abroad & Global Engagement (SAGE) supports the international mission of KU through the development and delivery of international education programs to further campus and curriculum internationalization efforts, expand cultural understanding and global awareness, and help students develop the skills that they will need to be successful at KU and beyond. SAGE supports approximately 1,500 students in international education programs each year, with approximately 28% of KU undergraduate students participating in study abroad prior to graduation.
