You Will:

  • Manage a portfolio of global programs from start to finish, including conceptualizing, organizing, marketing, applications and admissions, developing an ongoing evaluation process, reporting on results, managing balances and partnership issues.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with multiple partner institutions and service providers, in collaboration with the Managing Director.
  • In collaboration with the Managing Director and others across Ross, you will integrate students' international experiences into the curricula.
  • Possible travel internationally and domestically up to a few times per year to meet with potential partners, present at professional conferences, and assess potential or current collaborations and partnerships. This role may also travel with student programs as a staff lead.
  • Lead Business Development for Global Initiatives; work with the Managing Director to create new international and domestic partnerships.
  • Guide the marketing needs of the programs, including web, print, social media, and more; work with Ross Marketing and Communications to build the Ross global footprint.
  • Oversee projects from ideation through implementation, working with team members to ensure delivery. This can include application and admissions management, data evaluation and reporting, creation of new health, risk management and safety processes based on UM Provost requirements for global programs.
  • Create cohesion and cooperation within the Global Initiatives team through aligning processes and programs, and through positive and dynamic team leadership.
  • Provide management and ongoing professional development for Education Advisors, temporary student staff, student workers or Peer Advisors.
  • Be a content expert and coach in international education and help Ross and UM students design, navigate and integrate their experiences.
  • Advise students about program design and requirements, including student learning goals, course selection/equivalencies, and application guidelines. Advising takes place through drop-in hours, individual appointments, and via Zoom, telephone and email.
  • Ensure compliance with UM and Ross travel policies listed in our Standard Practice Guides. Advise students, faculty and staff on these policies.
  • Create travel plans for UM managed global programs to be reviewed by the International Travel Oversight Committee.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of direct experience in global education or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Salary Information

The general salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000. You can expect to be paid a competitive and equitable salary. Factors used to determine salary include experience, knowledge and skills for the position.
