Essential Functions
The Admissions Representative serves as a member of the Admissions Team managing a recruitment territory to assist in achieving enrollment goals for the institution. The Admission Representative initiates, develops and maintains personal contact with qualified prospective students and related public constituencies throughout the recruitment process. The Admissions Representative is the face and image of the University for undergraduate student audiences. Act as a member of a team that is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies specific to student recruitment in our targeted and general markets. The Admissions Representative will maintain appropriate admissions and advising data for students in assigned region and will facilitate the admission and enrollment toUNOor convey the appropriate information to the designated area. The representative will deploy recruiting strategies necessary to best serve partnerships, consistent with the goals of the University. The recruiting strategies executed by the Admissions Representative will require an understanding of the University's commitment to increasing the number of qualified students and diverse populations on theUNOcampus. The Admissions Representative will manage their specific territory with annual recruitment goals and targets, in accordance with the institutional enrollment and recruitment plans. Initiate, develop and maintain positive relationships with secondary schools, community colleges, four-year institutions and agencies related to the recruitment of qualified students. Serve as liaison with and advocate for the participation of alumni and other interested community members in the recruitment process. Adhere to institutional policies and procedures regarding travel and other requirements. Support the overall goals of the Admissions Office and the Division of Enrollment Management with other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule M-F, 8a-5p. - Nights and Weekends as needed, travel required.
Additional Duties
Represent the University of Nebraska at Omaha at corporate visits/events, college fairs, community events, and other off campus recruitment events. Communicate the necessary information, program opportunities, and scholarship and financial aid information to prospective students, both first time and transfer students. The admissions representative will carry out the specific strategy, and in collaboration with the team, determine a marketing approach for the particular assigned region to increase
the number of students in programs best designed for them at the University. Whether in person, through electronic communication, or the phone, the Admissions Representative will provide expanded advising to prospective students and families who inquire about the admission requirements, how to apply or transfer toUNO, their admission status, residency or special tuition reduction programs, and documents required for admission. Must be completely aware of University Admission Requirements as well as have a strong overall understanding of the University. While observingFERPAprivacy laws, the admission representative will answer questions regarding admissions and direct customers to the appropriate person or office on campus. Customers may be students, families, or other departments. The Admissions Representative will be assigned a specific territory. They are responsible for complete management of their territory to achieve annual recruitment goals through the administrativeCRMsystem, telecounseling and travel. The Admissions Representative will implement the established strategies, objectives and goals to achieve their specific recruitment goals within their assigned area. Create presentations and conduct information sessions to groups on and off campus. Provide guidance, communication, promotional information, and assistance to these prospective students, families, alumni, and other individuals or agencies that are associated with the recruitment process. The Admissions Representative will also serve as liaison to the University's faculty, community agencies, counselors, advisors, and other professional staff who are involved in the recruitment process.
Required Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education: Master's degree Experience: Prior admissions/recruitment or related work experience
Bilingual Spanish-English preferred.
