The Opportunity

An International Admission Counselor I enrolls students into Undergraduate and Graduate degree programs or courses at SNHU. Admission Counselors receive inquiries such as emails, live chats, and telephone calls through a variety of marketing channels and will assist the student through the enrollment process, being a liaison to other campus departments and serving as the student's advocate. Admission Counselors must demonstrate SNHU's brand values in every interaction and use the established Admission process to maximize opportunities from inquiry through enrollment. You will report to the Director of International Admission Freshman Admission Team

In this Role You'll Get To:
  • You will assist and enroll predominately international students into SNHU's undergraduate, graduate, and ESL programs.
  • Initiate dialog with prospective students. Evaluate the prospective student's needs, interests and qualifications while providing concise information to help the prospective student make an informed decision on program/course offering, delivery mode, and school fit. Present information about the school, program offerings, structure, accreditation, cost, and benefits specific to the prospective students.
  • Achieve the expected goals as determined by admission leadership including: Daily activity, Schedule Adherence, Ready Time, Call Outline Adherence, Call and Email Flow and Support, Compliance, and Program Knowledge based on current organizational needs.
  • Assist prospective students through the admission process following SNHU procedures, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and accrediting standards. Promote university offerings to prospective students observing their needs. The major components of the process being response time to new inquiries, students interviews, facilitating and processing the enrollment, and following up through Day 15 of successful term start.
  • Follow schedule to include ready time, follow up time, chat, breaks, meetings, and trainings based on current organizational needs.
  • Operate within, and is measured to, call flow and pipeline management, interpersonal/communication, needs analysis/support and developing.
  • You will partner with departments outside of Admission including Financial Aid, Enrollment Support Services and Advising to ensure the delivery of a high level of service to every student. Escalate issues.
  • Uphold all SNHU policies, procedures, with integrity and ethics.
  • Help with commencement ceremonies and reception events.

What we're Looking For:
  • Associate degree
  • Less than 1 years relevant sales and customer service experience in relationship and consultative sales
  • Equivalent of experience in lieu of degree acceptable:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Success individually and as part of a team in a structured, well-defined work environment
  • Complete admissions training certification, compliance and product knowledge checks
