The Round Lake Area Schools Community Unit School District 116, with approximately1000 employees and an enrollment of 6000 students grades PreK-12, is seeking a vibrant, visionary and mission-driven Assistant Principal for the 2022-2023 school year. The successful candidate will assist in the planning, organizing, directing, and controlling of the educational programming and or operational activities at Magee Middle School. We are a diverse, educational family that empowers each student to become a life-long learner by providing challenging learning opportunities in a safe and respectful environment. - Providing oversight and leadership connected to all facets of student support services through the coordination of students, parents, certified faculty, non-certified staff, and community agencies.
- Applying data and mission-driven decision making in establishing strategic goals and objectives.
- Establishing high expectations and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Supporting a school climate that is safe, welcoming and respectful.
- Demonstrating strong organizational, interpersonal, financial, verbal and written communication skills.
- Challenging the status quo and developing new norms for education.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in education or closely-related field plus three (3) years of professional level experience working in an educational setting
- Administrative experience in an educational setting
- Valid Illnois Professional Educator License registered in Lake County
- General Administrative Endorsement
- Middle School Endorsements
- Spanish Speaking Preferred
- Dean of Students Experience Preferred
- Middle School Experience Preferred
- Knowledge of Restorative Practices
- Ability to Multi-Task
- Student-Centered Approach
