Kenyon College, a co-educational, liberal arts and sciences institution in central Ohio, is conducting a search for Admissions Counselor/Assistant Director of Admissions position openings (titles dependent on experience). These are 12-month, full-time positions in the Office of Admissions. Admissions counselors/assistant directors participate in a team-oriented working environment through all phases of the recruitment and selection process.

The admissions officers will convey key institutional messages to prospective students and parents on- and off-campus and cultivate professional relationships with guidance counselors and key educational organizations. The recruitment portfolio will include travel (8-10 weeks per year), counseling and advising students and families regarding the admission process, conducting interviews and presentations, maintaining relationships with guidance counselors and managing a territory throughout the admission cycle. Admissions officers fully participate in the evaluation of applications.

The successful candidate(s) will have excellent communication skills, both in writing and speaking; great organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail; and strong interpersonal skills. An understanding of and appreciation for the values of a residential liberal arts college are essential. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. The positions require a willingness to travel and availability for night and weekend work.

Employment at Kenyon is contingent upon a successful background check. A valid driver's license is also required and candidates must be in a position to pass Kenyon's driver certification.
