The Enrollment Management Office at Cleveland Institute of Art invites applications for the full-time Director of Admissions position. The Director of Admissions oversees all aspects of admissions and student recruitment, which includes the college’s application and acceptance processes. In this role the Director will oversee the short and long term planning recruitment strategies to ensure that Cleveland Institute of Art meets enrollment objectives. This role will collaborate with the Director of Financial Aid to align Cleveland Institute of Art’s admissions and financial aid processes as well as work with the Director of Admissions Systems & Data to develop data driven recruitment strategies. The ideal candidate will be a data driven decision maker, a creative leader in admissions, recruitment and retention, and be an experienced admission and financial aid professional.

We are seeking an individual who is energetic, enthusiastic with both customer service and marketing skills. The ideal candidate will be engaging and informing prospective parents and students about Cleveland Institute of Art and the benefits of obtaining higher education at our institution on an individual, small, and large group basis. The Director of Admissions will conduct one-on-one meetings, manage recruitment events and conduct campus visits and tours. Along with meeting families on campus, the Director of Admissions will develop and lead inclusive outreach efforts to draw diverse families to the institution and ensure that Cleveland Institute of Art continues to enroll promising students who both thrive as part of the school community and in turn contribute to the community as a whole.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required as well as a minimum of five years of progressive experience in higher education and candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Supervisory experience is required due to the position managing a team of Admissions Counselors along with an Associate and Assistant Director of Admissions. Candidates should possess demonstrated knowledge of state and federal laws and ethical practices in higher education, with an emphasis on recruitment and enrollment policy and practice. The Director of Admissions should be a team player who has a warm collaborative nature, positive energy, possess superior organization and prioritization skills and is self-motivated in the completion of day-to-day tasks and projects. Due to this role working so closely with other departments, staff, parents and students; we are looking for someone who has exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including outstanding writing and public speaking skills and the ability to interact comfortably with a variety of people.

Compensation

This is a full-time exempt position. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Cleveland Institute of Art offers a benefit package including; vacation, sick, personal time accrual as well as additional time off while the college is closed during winter break; health and dental insurance, life and disability insurance, 403B retirement contribution, tuition remission, free campus parking, and inter-museum council discounts.
