*JOB SUMMARY:* Reporting to the Director of Adult and Graduate Admission, the Assistant Director supports recruitment efforts for meeting or exceeding adult and graduate program enrollments. The incumbent will articulate the mission and values of the College to prospective students and corporate partners, and become familiar with all aspects of academic and student life as they pertain to the recruitment and retention of adult and graduate students.

1. Serve as the Academic Advisor for more than 500 new and returning students.
2. Manage the online verification process for all students through ProctorU as well as the virtual new student orientation.
3. Work in multiple databases to keep student records current (i.e. Slate and Jenzabar).
4. Provide unofficial transcript reviews for students in order to develop a suggested course plan consistent with their career goals and degree requirements. This would include a term-by-term schedule/outline of the program of study.
5. Maintain current knowledge of all curricula and requirements for adult and graduate programs.
6. Understand and practice efficient prospect management functions to ensure timely follow-up to all advisees and prospective students by email, phone, and in person meetings.
7. Work with the department chairs and Registrar to maintain relevant, accurate data bases and records.
8. Assist the faculty and department chairs in developing and implementing innovative recruitment outreach strategies to drive enrollments and retention for the Office of Adult and Graduate Admission.
9. Recruit students through outreach visits at education fairs, professional group networking, site visits, information sessions, social networking, and telephone/e-mail follow-up of inquiries.
10. Develop continuing relationships/partnerships with appropriate business and educational contacts.
11. Organize and host recruitment events as needed.
12. Communicate regularly with department chairs regarding admission policies and procedures.
13. Provide excellent customer service to students, co-workers, staff, faculty and other constituents.
14. Under the leadership of the Director, assist in necessary phases of the program to include recruitment, prospective student engagement, advising, scheduling, and the CRM system for The Office of Adult and Graduate Admission.

1. Implement new ideas to best target adult and graduate students by evaluating recruitment strategy effectiveness.
2. Evaluate recruitment and prospect management functions designed to drive enrollments.
3. Generate ideas and make recommendations for the development of degree programs or track options when exploring new markets.
4. Provide monthly updates on status of performance objectives.
5. Work with the Director of Adult and Graduate Admission to track expenses involved with recruitment and prospect management.
6. Assist with surveys to track customer satisfaction and develop tactics to address issues of concern.
7. Collaborate with the Director in the design, implementation and distribution of marketing materials.
8. Contribute to the overall success of the department by performing all other duties as assigned by the Director of Adult and Graduate Admission and the Vice President for Enrollment Management.

1. Bachelor’s Degree required. Masters preferred.
2. Minimum one to three years related program recruiting and management experience, preferably in continuing or adult education.
3. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people of varied backgrounds and cultures.
4. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
