    Job Summary:The Regional UA Admissions Advisor serves as the field representative for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for an assigned regional area. Provides leadership in identifying & enrolling undergraduate students. Serves as primary contact with local high school guidance counselors and principals, coordinates recruiting efforts with local alumni chapters, identifies prospective qualified undergraduate students in the region, and plans student receptions and counselor briefings, etc.

    Additional Department Summary:This position is responsible for the recruitment of prospective students in the state of South Carolina and is expected to reside in the greater Greenville, Columbia, or Charleston SC area.

    Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in student recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, communications, education, or counseling. Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student oriented experience will be considered. To be considered student experience, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application.

    Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: The ability to travel alone out of town, sometimes overnight, an interest in working with prospective college students and their families; the ability to work with different cultures and groups of people. The functions of this position will require some evening and weekend work.

    Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies.

    Skills and Knowledge:Basic knowledge in the usage of personal computers and standard application software (word processing, spreadsheet and/or database management programs). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
