The Department of Undergraduate Admissions at the State University of New York College at Oswego (SUNY Oswego) employs a dedicated team of professionals contributing to the College enrollment goals and the mission of the College.

The Admissions Office at the State University of New York at Oswego invites applications to fill a full-time Admissions Advisor.

Description of Responsibilities:

The Admissions Advisor is a member of a dedicated recruitment and admission team, committed to serving students and their families as well as colleagues, with the highest standard of customer service.

Responsibilities and duties include, but not limited to:
  • Managing a specific recruitment territory of our prospect/applicant pool
  • Representing the College at on- and off-campus and virtual recruitment events
  • Serving as primary liaison for school counselors, agencies and educators in assigned markets
  • Developing relationships with prospective students and families
  • Coordinate applicant approval process for select admissions programs
  • Conducting large group presentations and student interviews
  • Reviewing and evaluating applications
  • Managing multiple projects successfully as needed in a time sensitive environment
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree at time of appointment
  • A strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success
  • Ability to use analytical thinking, creative problem solving skills, listening skills, multi-tasking skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and travel for extended periods of time
  • Valid driver's license
  • Out of state travel might be required
