GENERAL DUTIES:

Assists the Office School Performance (OSP) Team in implementation of the Hillsboro School District Strategic Plan

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A valid State of Oregon Teaching License appropriate for the position
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • The ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • The ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds
  • The ability to work harmoniously with others
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
  • Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
  • The ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District
  • A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience, plus a minimum of one year of leadership experience as a department chairperson, team leader, intern, or instructional leader
  • Knowledge of and experience with effective instruction and assessment
  • The ability to work with multiple grade levels in elementary and/or secondary
  • A valid Oregon driver's license and a vehicle for work related travel
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (bilingual is defined as fluency in reading, writing and speaking two languages as determined by District screening tool)
  • General Education Teaching License
  • Looking for a classroom teacher with a love of including students with disabilities, have the ability to share and coach their peers to do the same in their classrooms.
  • This is a K-12 position
