The Assistant Director of International Recruitment and Admissions will serve as a key role within the Office of Recruitment and Admissions (ORA) by providing leadership and guidance in meeting the university’s international student enrollment goals. Primary responsibilities include:
- Supervise and develop the team comprised of four professionals and 4-6 student staff charged with attracting, admitting, and enrolling new international students
- Identify, develop, and implement data-driven strategies to grow enrollment such as establishing recruitment geography, implementing marketing efforts, and initiating internal and external partnerships to increase enrollment
- Responsible for the daily operations of all international admission processes including admission decisions and issuance of immigration documents in compliance with the requirements of SEVP
- Serve as a Designated School Officer (DSO) authorized by the Department of Homeland Security and requires U.S. permanent residency or U.S. citizenship for such designation.
- Serve as a liaison to partners within the university community to ensure successful student experience from application to arrival in U.S.
- Values a high level of customer service and assists students directly as needed via phone, email, and in person interactions
This position will be housed in the Berney Family Welcome Center – an $18 million dollar University facility. It is the premier location for prospective students, families, current students, employers, donors, alumni, and community members.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Three to five years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education with a focus on recruitment, admissions and/or student services specific to international student populations
- Fluent in English
- Two years of successful supervision of full-time professional employees
- General or basic understanding of international student Pathway programs, English proficiency testing and IEP programs
- Social and communication skills and the ability to engage with others of diverse backgrounds
- Possess a high energy level and be able to work under strict deadlines
- Strong ability to lead, multitask and stay organized; exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrated proficiency with technology including Customer Relationship Management tool (experience with Technolutions Slate or Salesforce is helpful), Student Information System such as PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office, efficient use of email, etc.
- Master’s Degree
