Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Serves as a liaison and facilitator among a school's faculty, students, and administration to resolve administrative or curriculum related issues.
- Works with departments to expand educational resources for students and faculty.
- Oversees, assists in and approves the production of publications and/or communications.
- Meets with visitors from other schools and provides program or curriculum information.
- Participates in the accreditation process.
- Assists in planning, coordinating and scheduling events.
- May monitor students' grades and coordinate tutoring or counseling assistance.
- May assist with registration and commencement activities.
- Assists in planning, administering and monitoring the capital equipment, operations and personnel budgets.
- Maintains files and databases.
- Oversees the preparation of operational and statistical reports.
- May supervise staff and participate in the hiring of new employees.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
- Occasional evening and weekend work required.
- Position will carry a steady load of academic advising in addition to working collaboratively with several areas of the BBA program, including but not limited to International Programs, Orientation, and Graduation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in adult education, human resources development or a related field and three years of experience in student affairs, advising, registration, financial aid or a related field, OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred candidate will have prior experience working directly with students.
- Previous experience at a selective institution is particularly valued.
- Successful candidates will enjoy working directly with students, and have a significant interest in student development and growth.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
