POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, oversees technology and logistics related to application management, marketing, events, and communications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Oversee SOM Application Management and Technology:
  • Manage the prospect management and application process utilizing various technology platforms including PeopleSoft and Slate, as well as various social media outlets
  • Run the application operations process from application creation to decision-making
  • Monitor existing systems and procedures, ensuring that the end-to-end admissions process runs efficiently for Admissions staff, applicants, and faculty stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and technical process inquiries for prospects, pre-health advisors, faculty stakeholders and staff
  • Manage the data analytics and reporting needs throughout the admissions cycle, and compile end of year statistical reports for the Director and Associate Dean
  • Liaise with IT on SOM technology needs and act as the lead for all technology-based admissions projects such as product implementations
  • Participate in professional organization events put on by organizations such as the AAMC, AMCAS, NAAHP etc., to keep up to date on medical school application and admission practices, regulations, and trends
  • Work with the Director of Admissions on strategizing and implementing admission process enhancements with respect to increasing applicant pools and potential future class size increases


Support Applicant and Stakeholder Engagement, Marketing and Communications, and Events
  • Work closely with the Director of Admissions and the Office of Communications to develop and implement strategies for marketing SOM medical and pipeline programs and events
  • Collaborate with the Office of Communications to create marketing materials and marketing campaigns using multiple platforms such as Slate and various social media platforms
  • Support recruitment events (on and off campus, in-person and virtual) to meet established recruitment and enrollment goals
  • Assist with technology and logistics for student-run recruitment events
  • Assist with technology needs during committee meetings and the Multiple Mini Interview process
  • Answer inquiries (in person or via phone or email communications) from internal and external constituents regarding SOM admission processes, or forward inquiries on to appropriate parties for response

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ higher education admissions operations or related experience
  • Familiarity with development and implementation of higher education recruitment strategies and a strong understanding of enrollment management processes
  • Strong data analysis, data management and data reporting skills
  • Ability to implement process improvement strategies for continuous process enhancements
  • In-depth knowledge of/experience with various technological platforms; PeopleSoft, EPiServer, Hootsuite, Pardot, SalesForce, Slate etc.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to pivot with changing priorities
  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with external constituents, fellow staff and differing levels of administrators
  • Ability and willingness to work hours outside normal business on occasion
