The Associate Director of Admissions & Coordinator of International Recruitment will join a dynamic team providing expertise and leadership for initiatives related to the recruitment and enrollment of international students. The individual will collaborate with key stakeholders within and external to the College pertaining to international student recruitment and facilitate the admission process for prospective international students and their families. The Associate Director is involved in all aspects of recruiting prospective students, reviewing and evaluating admission applications, overseeing and providing guidance on evaluation and interpretation of international transcripts, and explaining and discussing the F-1 visa process for new students. This individual will also manage extensive personal contact with prospects, parents, counselors, and other educational professionals, in person, by phone, via e-mail, and other digital channels. This position will be based in Boston, MA and requires extensive domestic and international travel. Evening and weekend work will also be required, as needed.

*Your Key Responsibilities:*

* Recruit a highly qualified and diverse pool of students (freshman) to apply to the university by developing and implementing effective recruitment and outreach plans
* Participate as a member of the Undergraduate Admission team, requiring high levels of independent judgment.
* Review and analyze multi-year demographic and enrollment trend reports to plan and implement targeted recruitment activities for the undergraduate admission team in relation to diverse populations.
* Collaborate with Undergraduate Leadership (associates, director, and the dean) on a regular basis to assist in planning and implementing recruitment strategies for international populations and markets.
* Manage special projects and work to develop new and creative programs to enhance prospect development, with portfolio responsibilities including the coordination of programming for and recruitment of international students through webinars, chats, counselor tours and more.
* Participate in debriefing exercises to assess the success of recruitment and outreach efforts. Help identify new ways of reaching out to and gathering contact information on prospective applicants.
* Represent the College at career and college fairs, Community- Based organizations and high school recruitment presentations, community college recruitment presentations and special recruitment and yield events.
* Convey key institutional messages to prospective applicants and parents. Serve in a public relations and information role with prospective applicants, their parents and high school counselors. Demonstrate how the institution can help meet prospective applicants' academic and career goals.
* Cultivate professional relationships and serve as the institution's primary admissions contact with school counselors, independent counselors, community-based organizations and other influencers in the assigned territory.
* Serve as liaison to on-campus departments (eg. Office of International Student Affairs (OISA), Global Pipeline Program, etc) and off-campus organizations (eg. ProArts Consortium) to help increase the number and quality of applications.
* Develop and strengthen relationships with alumni globally to supplement recruiting efforts across the world.
* Be an active member and serve on professional committees for regional admissions organization(s).
* Help ensure the admission of a highly qualified first-year class by serving as an active participant in the evaluation and selection process.
* Read, utilizing a holistic approach, first-year applications to determine admissions eligibility by evaluating academic and non-academic credentials based on established criteria.
* Make admission decision recommendations on applicants who apply to the college using high levels of independent judgment.
* Analyze, make recommendations, and participate in the holistic decision-making process on candidates whose applications need further review.

*Your Other Responsibilities*

* Support the overall work of the department.
* Participate in in-person and virtual information sessions, as assigned.
* Serve as liaison to designated academic programs and coordinate special programs as assigned.
* Collaborate with various departments across campus to engage in programming with prospective students.
* Assist with selected special events/projects (e.g., admitted student weekends and visit days, high school counselor tours, receptions, etc.).
* Involve current students and key student organizations in recruiting, as appropriate.
* Help identify long-term recruiting goals, strategies, and innovative ways to recruit talented diverse students from the defined geographic regions.
* Collaborate in the development of promotional and marketing efforts, publications, etc.
* Keep abreast of pertinent developments at the college, in higher education, and in the field of professional admission work.
* Other duties as assigned.

*Your Qualifications: *

* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
* A minimum of four years of admission experience or related to the college advising process, including School Counselors, ELL Counselors and CBO Counselors.
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the undergraduate experience preferably at a small liberal arts institution.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with high school students, their families and college counselors in a variety of settings, to speak and write clearly and persuasively
* Extensive international and domestic travel required, with a minimum of 12-14 weeks per year.
* Flexibility to work on weekends and evenings, as needed.
* Ability to work remotely with access to reliable high-speed internet.
* Ability to read and holistically analyze applications, high school transcripts, recommendations, and more.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to prioritize, and to achieve goals and objectives.
* Ability to utilize high levels of independent judgment in all capacities of the work conducted.
* Ability to create and execute innovative admissions programs
* Excellent attention to detail, and strong computer skills
* Ability to build and sustain key relationships with staff, students, and off-campus contacts
* Excellent organization skills and ability to set priorities and keep to deadlines.
* Performs duties within established policy guidelines.
* Responsible for a defined set of assignments.
* Expected to determine and create the necessary procedures to meet specific goals and objectives.
* A commitment to working with a diverse environment and interacting collegially with individuals of different backgrounds.
* Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Valid driver's license

*Your preferred qualifications:*

* Bilingual ability.
* Previous experience with a student information system, preferably Technolutions Slate.
* Previous experience working in a remote position

* Typical office environment
* Ability to sit or stand for long periods
* Ability to concentrate for long periods of time

*Work Schedule: *

* Monday - Friday 8:45AM to 5:00PM Eastern.
* Evening and weekend work is required (varies).
* Frequent travel is required.

Grade of Position: A17E

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36.25

Salary: $75,100.00
