Serves as the primary point of contact for Chinese students attending theUNLthrough the dual degree (3+1) program between the Department of Food Science and Technology (FDST) atUNLand the Department of Food Science and Engineering at Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University (NWAFU), Yangling District, Shaanxi, China. Primary activities center on ensuring 3+1 students are culturally, socially, and academically integrated into the life of the University, College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources (CASNR), andFDSTand seamlessly matriculate through their fourth year of study atUNL. This includes travel toNWAFUin China to develop relationships with incoming students and withNWAFUprogram staff that are also providing student support and coordination withUNLAdmissions to ensure smooth processing of incoming student applications and with otherUNLoffices that will play a role in student arrival and orientation. Additionally, it includes planning, development, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive Yangling-based and Lincoln-based programming and activities forFDSTfaculty members, staff members and students in order for them to foster integration of with 3+1 students withinFDSTandUNL.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus two years of experience engaging with undergraduate students at a professional level (i.e. instructing, advising, recruiting). Completion of a working, living, or studying abroad opportunity. Proficiency with Microsoft office software. Experience must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, high degree of intercultural competency, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree. Experience working with students for whom English is a second language. Fluency in Chinese. Work experience in Asia. Demonstrated leadership in cross-cultural awareness training. Organizational skills. Ability to advise and motivate a large, diverse group of individuals.
