AdmissionJob Description*Job Summary*
Coordinate public relations, marketing and efforts directed particularly towards the recruitment and selection of students with international citizenship living abroad or in the United States. Responsible for developing a strategic plan to ensure international students are well-represented in the entering classes. Partner across the college regarding the enrollment of international students.
*Essential Functions*
*Recruitment (50%): *Coordinate the recruitment of international students, including visiting high schools, attending college fairs and conducting workshops and interviewing. Lead on-campus information sessions. Develop and maintain a network of recruitment contacts at schools and agencies abroad. Expand and nurture the partnerships with agencies abroad that work with international students. Execute targeted international student recruitment efforts involving faculty, students, staff and alumnae. Plan and execute approximately four to six weeks of travel to recruit students and develop virtual programming for international students. Serve as a liaison to the International Students and Scholars Office and an active participant in campus organizations and events addressing issues especially relevant to international students. Develop and maintain partnerships with the alumnae association in support of international recruitment. Current on-campus program responsibilities include overseeing the coordination of campus visits from international school counselors.
*Programming (20%)*: Assist in the coordination of on-campus and virtual events for prospective and admitted students as assigned by the Dean of Admission. Assist with the coordination of programming for non-first year candidates, including applicants to the Ada Comstock Program.
*Admission Reading and Selection (20%): *Read and vote on admissibility of candidates for admission to the college with an emphasis on those applying from outside the US and those in US schools.
*Administrative Functions/Professional Development (10%):* Develop skills and connections and pursue professional development opportunities to better understand current issues and challenges in the field of admission and in Higher Education.
Perform related duties as required.
*Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses)*
*Education/Experience: *Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of three years of experience in admission or related field with evidence of progressively increasing responsibility or an equivalent combination of education/experience. Experience recruiting internationally preferred. Valid driver’s license and passport required.
*Skills*
* *Must be highly organized, flexible, independent and energetic in balancing multiple priorities. A successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds. Familiarity with a language other than English is a plus.
*Additional Information*
