Essential Duties
Provides advice and information to students on short and long-term educational and career goals and on available University resources such as financial aid, fellowships, career services and educational programs. 2. Coordinates and oversees a range of processes and programs in such areas as admissions, financial aid, registration, placement, and career services. 3. Adapts and implements new policies and processes regarding specific areas of specialty; develops, recommends and implements solutions and corrections to policies and processes. 4. Assists in designing, recommending and implementing computer programs and systems for admissions, registration, career services, and financial aid. 5. Processes financial and other transactions, track data, generate and analyze reports. 6. Assists in the design and development of student publications, communications and program web sites. 7. Ensures all student services and student support functions conform to University policies and guidelines. 8. Monitors, maintains, and ensures accuracy of student records; monitor and track status of students. 9. May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
Six years of related work experience, four of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and high school level education; or four years of related work experience and an Associate's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Position Focus:
Reporting to the Director for Recruitment and Administration, the Student Services Coordinator furthers the office's mission of assisting students and alumni in reaching their career goals with a particular focus on public interest, fellowships and judicial clerkships. Plans and coordinates 50+ public interest and judicial clerkship events annually, including student and alumni panels and alumni Mentor-in-Residence sessions. Collaborates on events with student groups, administrative offices and centers. Engages with speakers to ensure a highly organized and hospitable interaction with the office and the law school. Creates content to publicize events to students. Updates public interest resources and distributes public interest e-newsletters to inform students about career events and opportunities. Assists with surveys to alumni in public interest and judicial clerkships to gather employment data and feedback. Processes student reimbursement requests for public interest activities including the Travel Reimbursement for Interviews in the Public Interest Program, which grants approx. 50 stipends for students to conduct public interest interviews, and the Rhode Fund, which reimburses students for term time pro bono work. Coordinates student participation in CDO's Public Interest Interview Program and other public interest career fairs. Processes expense reports in Workday. May perform other duties at the discretion of the Director of Administration.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree. Experience in a law office, legal services, or demonstrated knowledge of legal hiring. Familiarity with Workday and expense reports, and other University systems. Experience with Trello.
