Position Description


Performs varied and complex administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and/or program. Requires independent judgment and application of established policies and procedures. Works under general supervision with evaluation based on overall results obtained.


Major/Essential Functions


• Build relationships with agencies to obtain new sponsorships

• Support and resolve immigration-related issues on behalf of sponsored students

• Work with other offices on campus to resolve any issues concerning sponsored students

• Develop and administer contracts with sponsors to support their students

• Notify sponsoring agency of student arrival on campus, registration and enrollment, and other pertinent information

• Oversee student progress toward achieving sponsor’s academic objectives

• Receive representatives from sponsoring agencies and arranges campus visits by coordinating meetings with students’ academic advisors and departments on campus


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.


Preferred Qualifications


• Experience with advising prospective students;

• Working within an organization/office setting;

• Experience working with international agencies;

• Experience serving as Designated School Official assisting with maintenance of international student records, databases, admissions related processing, prepare reports related to international students, and oversee preparation of initial attendance I-20s.
