Job Responsibilities

The Assistant Vice President for Student Services plans ,organizes and directs primary technical, digital, and web-based operations, communications, and publications within the Student Services division. Provides oversight for the enrollment functions of the college. Mediates multiple students' appeals to concisely, fairly, and accurately render decisions. Assists the Vice President for Student Services with overall divisional planning, direction, and management.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a master's degree plus five (5) years of progressively responsible related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Juris Doctor degree and experience with policy and procedures regarding student services compliance and regulations, student engagement, two-year college mission and initiatives, and teaching experience at the college level preferred. Supervisory experience is a plus. Knowledge of higher education programs and objectives, Student Services, student development theory, college, federal and state regulations, laws, procedures, and processes is critical. Must be able to present clear, concise, and comprehensive written and oral reports. Managing teams and projects, analyzing complex situations to determine pertinent facts, interpreting regulations to reach reasonable conclusions, and proposing solutions and changes from concept to implementation. Excellent customer service, communication, mediation, and editing skills are essential.
