Milton Hershey School is one of the world's best private schools, where qualifying students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade live on campus and receive an exceptional educational experience-with all costs covered. We are seeking an Admission School Psychologist for our high-volume Enrollment Management department (receiving over 3,000 applications annually). The Admission School Psychologists are responsible for reviewing MHS enrollment applications, conducting record reviews and conducting psychological assessments for prospective students. From those reviews and assessments, the Admission School Psychologists prepare written reports of their findings to decision makers who review the student enrollment applications. This position s responsibilities require a depth of knowledge in both school psychology and clinical psychology, with an expertise in assessments. The enrollment applications are for children ages 4 through 15. This position is an in-office role and entails some evenings and weekends to support the operational needs of the school.

Responsibilities include:

-Conducting applications and records reviews.

-Conducting student assessments including cognitive ability, achievement, observation, family interviews, personality, measurement of psycho-social strengths and weaknesses, adaptability, etc.

-Compiles written reports for review.

-Collaborates closely with other members of the Enrollment Management team.

-Multi-tasks to meet the needs of student applicants & their families, as well as members of the Enrollment Management team.

-Provides guidance to non-licensed / non-certified staff.

-Supervises Master s level practicum students.

-Conducts presentations to staff, students families, and professionals.

-Provides input into the student assessment and application processes and practices.

-Committed to continuous professional development to maintain current knowledge of relevant topics and changes.

Qualifications:

- Master s degree required in School and/or Clinical Psychology. Additional training in psychological assessment beyond the Master s degree is required, with the ideal candidate having a doctoral degree.

- School Psychologist Certification required. NCSP preferred.

- At least 3 years of experience utilizing assessment tools in a school and/or clinical setting, including use of a variety of both objective and projective instruments.

- Spanish fluency a plus.

- Demonstrated expertise in conducting psychological assessments including intelligence testing, behavioral, and personality assessments of children ages 4 - 15.

- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough and thoughtful file reviews with a high degree of discernment and exceptional judgement.

-Exceptional written communication skills for report writing.

-Computer proficient with Microsoft applications, databases, and on-line assessment tools.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills. Experience working with students and families from lower-income or under-served populations preferred.

- Demonstrated success multi-tasking in a high volume and dynamic work environment.

- Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, commitment, respect, and positivity, as all MHS staff are considered role models for MHS students.

- Candidates should be willing to actively engage with MHS students beyond the scope of their job responsibilities.
