Responsibilities
* Assist with management and administrative direction of the Academic Affairs area. Interprets all academic policies, counsel students on academic matters, and refers and recommend students to various campus resources and partners. Has delegated authority and responsibility to recommend, approve, and implement policies in the College relevant to student academic affairs and student success. Assists in planning long and short-term goals for the College.
* Review and make decisions on all matters pertaining to graduation, waivers, withdrawals, grade liability, grade changes, overloads, and other student service matters. Serves as the College's contact and liaison for all matters pertaining to undergraduate education such as holds, readmissions, and mapping issues.
* Serves as a member of the Academic College leadership and advises the Associate Dean and Dean on various academic and student success matters. Assist with and conduct analysis on the College's student success initiatives and projects. Provide reports to the Academic Dean.
* Supervise Academic Support Assistant, OPS, and Federal Work Study students in the Academic Affairs area; responsible for hiring, training, and setting performance standards.
* Represent the College of Health and Human Sciences in all matters pertaining to Orientation, Preview, and other efforts to communicate College and University academic policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Qualifications A Bachelor's degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)

* Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
* Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
* Ability to effectively train and direct the work of others.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
* Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
