Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The Department of Political Science at the University of South Carolina seeks applications for a nine-month, full-time, open-rank position in International Relations to begin on August 16, 2023. The position is open with regards to substantive specialization and advanced assistant, associate, and full professors are encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates are expected to teach substantive courses in International Relations and contribute to the department's graduate and undergraduate programs in methodology.

Required Education and Experience

The position requires a Ph.D. in political science, plus years of academic experience consistent with the academic policy for faculty rank, by the start date of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications

We seek candidates with well-conceived, theoretically informed research agendas who have been published in leading outlets.
