The Opportunity The Office of Graduate Affairs at the Keck School of Medicine of USC is seeking a Student Services Advisor III to join our dynamic team in administering our graduate programs. Duties for this position may include:
- Graduate student advisement/counseling related to an academic program, financial aid.
- Evaluate student problems (academic, personal, or administrative) and refer students to the appropriate student support services.
- Support admissions, recruitment, and retention activities.
- Conduct degree progress checks and certify students' degrees.
- Develop, support, and coordinate various academic and co-curricular programs, including but not limited to professional development.
- Collaborate and provide administrative support to program faculty and senior administration.
- Compile statistical data and prepare departmental-related reports pertaining to admissions, admissions, graduation, and job placement. Develop surveys and assessments.
- Attend departmental meetings and serve as departmental liaison at university meetings/committees.
- Maintain professional knowledge through participation in associations, committees, workshops, and other means of networking.
- Manage course scheduling, classroom scheduling, administration of BlackBoard, and other academic systems.
- Plan and coordinate ceremonies and events for the division, including graduation.
- Other related duties as assigned or requested. The university reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
The ideal candidate will:

- Have outstanding communication (written and oral), time management and leadership skills.
- Think creatively to design strategies to effectively engage with students, alumni, and employers.
- Be flexible and able to prioritize urgent issues on an as-needed basis.
- Be adept in utilizing new technologies as well as Qualtrics and other survey and assessment tools.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 5 years Minimum Field of Expertise: Directly related experience in student services and programming with the ability to lead.
