Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business is searching for an Assistant Director, Masters Admissions. This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. This role is responsible for providing professional support in the Tepper Masters Admissions Office by recruiting and advising prospective students for MBA and MS programs.

Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business is searching for an Assistant Director, Masters Admissions. This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. This role is responsible for providing professional support in the Tepper Masters Admissions Office by recruiting and advising prospective students for MBA and MS programs.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Assist with components of application processing from submission to matriculation, including the support of the execution of admissions committee meetings, application auditing, and credential verification
- Assists with activities related to the application database (Slate), which serves as the central tool for managing applications to MBA and other masters applications
- Responsible for the execution of pre-decision data checking and post-admit action items for all candidates.
- Travels extensively across the US and worldwide to participate in various recruiting events/activities
- Evaluates applications, interviews candidates, recommends admission decisions, counsels prospective students through the admissions process
- Manages special projects and assists in the development and implementation of recruiting/yield initiatives, process changes, publications, or events. Top of Form
- Evening and weekend hours required
- Other duties as assigned

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong student service orientation, organizational skills, including ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Detail orientation, analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3-5 years of experience in university admissions, university student services or professional employee recruiting required; some familiarity with financial aid process; public speaking; interviewing. Experience working with databases is strongly preferred.
- Or a combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge
