We are currently seeking an Admissions Officer to join our team. The ideal individual in this role will have a passion for helping others. We pride ourselves on creating an excellent customer experience for our students - from their first point of contact with you, to their first day of classes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for following up with new prospective student inquiries via phone, text, and email within a high-volume environment
- Meet with prospective students in person and provide a tour of the campus
- Advise applicants regarding information such as, but not limited to admissions requirements, eligibility for admission, program options, while engaging the prospective student to join AGM University
- Guides prospective students through the application process ensuring documents are filled out correctly and in a timely fashion
- Maintains and updates student admission records and files in an accurate and time sensitive manner
- Participates in orientation and registration for newly admitted students
- Prepares reports on daily movement of applications and enrolled student progress
- Ability to generate five personally developed referrals per week
- Collaborates with our Registrar department to validate any credits a student may be transferring in
- Serves as a brand ambassador by attending trainings, workshops, meetings, and related activities inside and outside the University
- Performs other duties as requested
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work evening shifts and weekend availability required; this position is on-site
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role (sales, customer service/service-oriented, and/or call center experience preferred)
- Bilingual (fluently, written and oral) in English and Spanish required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet solid deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
