The Director provides leadership and strategic planning for Erikson’s graduate admissions with the aim of enrolling high-quality students and achieving enrollment goals in alignment with the Institute’s policies, priorities, and timelines. This includes developing and implementing a dynamic recruitment program for graduate students; representing graduate programs to internal and external audiences; managing selection processes; enhancing the operations and technologies for admissions; and providing and analyzing graduate admissions data and information for Erikson.

Some evening and weekend hours and occasional local, regional, and national travel are required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
  • This position develops and leads short-term and long-term strategic enrollment plans to inform recruiting, outreach, and admissions processes and meet related targets for student headcount, student composition by academic program, student academic credentials, and student revenue.
  • This position provides leadership on the planning, execution, and conversion of prospective students across the candidate journey leading to enrollment. In alignment with Erikson’s commitment to DEIBJ (diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging and justice) guides the admissions team as they regularly facilitate creative, effective, mission-driven outreach and yield initiatives for prospective students.
  • In conjunction with the Executive Director of Marketing and Admissions and the Finance Office, this position manages the Admissions Office budget, helps ensure accurate and timely budget reporting, and makes recommendations for future operational budget amounts.
  • This position provides evidence-based, competitive intelligence insights to Erikson leadership, and advises on competitive trends to help inform future program and curriculum changes, as well as differentiating opportunities, in response to evolving conditions in the educational marketplace.
  • This position works closely with the Finance and Student Finance Offices to design and execute effective student aid strategies.
  • This position enhances the operations and technologies for graduate admissions (Slate, Constituo, Jenzebar), and helps train admissions staff members in related activities.
  • This position develops and maintains close relationships with key colleges, universities, and community partners inclusive of DEIBJ work.
  • This position collaborates with the Dean of Students Office to ensure a coordinated and supportive onboarding process for incoming students, across academic advising and related student services, including new student orientation.
  • This position serves on several administrative committees in collaboration with faculty, administration, student finance, marketing & communications, registration, the Dean of Students Office, and others.
  • This position takes a data-driven approach to enrollment strategy and decision making, including curiosity around all data points that matter in the admissions funnel; this position determines admissions reporting needs and timing, and provides and analyzes graduate admissions data and related information for Erikson.
  • This position manages and directs all aspects of general admission process: inquiry generation and business partnership development, interaction with prospective students, application review and selection, and admission decision notification.
  • This position acts as Erikson’s Designated School Official (DSO) for handling admissions requirements and initial student reporting for international students.
  • This position supports Erikson’s customary school initiatives and events, such as commencement and student activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of five years full-time equivalent progressive experience in higher education admissions and recruitment or closely related in the enrollment management profession, including supervision and budget management. Candidates with a master’s degree are preferred.
  • Understanding the specific needs of working adult students.
  • Demonstrable commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • A demonstrated record of successful outcomes in the development and achievement of enrollment goals.
  • Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Slate experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of student record databases, spreadsheets, word processing and database computer applications.
  • Planning, organizing and management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (writing and speaking).
  • Leadership and team building skills. Demonstrated experience and ability to mentor, work, supervise, and lead a team.
