Qualified applicant must have minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education or related field. Law degree preferred. A valid teaching license and administrative license preferred.
The goal of this assignment is to assist the Director of Schools with leadership and supervision in developing and enhancing student services. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Supervise and lead all student services including discipline, truancy, athletics, attendance, enrollment and student transfers, parent engagement, coordinated school health, nursing, homebound education, security, extended school program, and student records. Monitors compliance with all state and federal regulations in the areas of student services including safety, security, Section 504, and Exceptional Education. Develops and manages assigned budgets, expenditures, fund balances and related financial activities for the purpose of ensuring that allocations are accurate, revenues are recorded, expenses are within budget limits, and/or fiscal practices are followed. Prepares and delivers written and oral presentations on student services to the Board of Education, principals, teachers, parents, and community groups as needed; attends regular meetings of the Board and other related meetings; conducts staff meetings.
This is a full-time, 12-month assignment with insurance and retirement benefits.
