Position Summary

The School of Professional Studies is seeking an Admissions Office to, under very general supervision, represent and market NYU to potential students at on-campus and off-campus recruitment events; cultivate relationships with students to encourage a positive response and interest in attending NYU and promote NYU and its' schools and programs. Assist with the achievement of University, geographic, and department enrollment targets by encouraging qualified students to apply to NYU. Review and evaluate students' admission applications. Approve or deny applications and recommend borderline applicants to academic departments and Admission Committee for further consideration. Advise students on application process, University and School programs, academic requirements, financial aid options, housing, and other student services.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's DegreeRequired Experience:2+ years Experience in admissions, customer service or related student services experience.Preferred Experience:Experience evaluating international credentials for U.S. equivalency.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Ability to promote the University. A strong self-starter who can to work independently as well as part of a team. Outstanding interpersonal, public speaking, and writing skills. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to handle sensitive situations and/or people. Valid drivers license and passport. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively. Ability to market diverse programs and serve as a liaison between admissions and academic program offices.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,500.00 - $91,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
