POSITION DETAILS
Reporting to the Director of Student Life, and working closely with the school, campus, and university partners, the Student Life Coordinator serves as the primary coordinator for the successful execution of the following Hunter College marquee events - New Student Orientation, Graduation ceremonies, Welcome Week, and other student life partnership events.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Student Life Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:

VACCINE REQUIREMENT
Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.

In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Student Life Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:
- Coordinates implementation of all on and off-campus events for student organizations; and student engagement events promoting student academic excellence and leadership development.
- Coordinates in-person student orientation events comprised of academic advising breakouts, course registration breakouts, Vice President and Dean lectures, required presentations such as those mandated by Sexual Violence Response and Title IX, and social programming.
- Coordinates transition programming to aid matriculated students in their new college experience. Including but not limited to programming in cooperation with Welcome Week, student support services, skill building, time management, and academic success strategies.
- Coordinates and plans all school needs related to college graduation ceremonies, including ticketing and RSVP system for graduation, recruiting staff, and student volunteers.
- Coordinates any necessary purchases, facilities requests, and catering needs for in-person and virtual student events.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong practical/technical skills with the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint), HTML, CRMs, Canvas (or other comparable learning management system)
- Knowledge of student development theory and experience with student success.
- Detail orientated
- Ability to perform under pressure and with short deadlines
- Comfortable coordinating large groups of students
