Develop, lead and implement a comprehensive strategy for the Continuing Education and Outreach Department to diversify and advance innovative opportunities for learners of all ages. The main focus will include internal and external summer camps, VIP Rowing concierge, and Leadership West Volusia. Important tasks will include contracting, legal documentation, budgeting, effective planning and scheduling, and collaboration with the campus community to ensure a smooth operation for each program. Other programs can include English Pathways program, Test-Prep programs, and yet to be defined educational opportunities.
The programs of CEO are intended to provide a pathway to Stetson’s premier undergraduate and graduate programs while ensuring that the innovative CEO programs illustrate the importance of a Stetson education to a broad group of stakeholders. In close collaboration with the Directors of Undergraduate and Graduate Admission and the Director of Stetson’s HATS, the Associate Director will create opportunities that expand Stetson’s reach beyond DeLand but to broader communities nationally.

*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
*Strategy, Policy & Vision:*

Develop and lead a comprehensive strategy that empowers all aspects of Continuing Education and Outreach to meet its vision. Participate in long and short-term planning for the University representing internal and external summer camps, VIP Rowing Concierge, and community relations partnerships. Identify and promote innovative educational opportunities responsive to economic, social, and market trends. Envision and implement best practices that maximize responsiveness and effectiveness of educational opportunities for people of all ages. Contribute to the development and review of University policies. *Summer camps, VIP Rowing Concierge, and Leadership West Volusia Programming:*

Lead the development of enrichment related programs including but not limited to summer camp programming, VIP Rowing Concierge, Test-Prep programs, Pastors School, Leadership West Volusia and other related activities Collaborate with Deans, Program Directors, and Faculty in the visioning, development, and implementation of new programming. Identify potential new college, high school, and prep school rowing programs to participate in the Rowing Concierge program. Lead the recruitment of and contracting/budgeting for both internal and external summer camps to ensure an appropriate summer camp schedule and efficient execution. Build community partnerships to enrich and expand the Leadership West Volusia program. *Community relations, educational outreach and partnerships:*

Participate in local, regional, national and international consortia, partnerships, councils, and other organizations to promote, plan and develop enrichment, outreach and other activities. Participate in executive level committees and serve as liaison to community entities regarding summer camps, Rowing Concierge, and Leadership West Volusia. Interact with business, governmental, municipal and community agencies to further strategic alliances.
*Fiscal and Administrative Management:*

In collaboration with the Director of Graduate Admission, develop the annual Continuing Education and Outreach budget. Identify opportunities for grants and collaboration with partners to assist in the funding of educational opportunities at Stetson University. In collaboration with the Director of Graduate Admission and university academic leaders, establish the vision and lead Continuing Education and Outreach’s marketing, admission, and administrative processes.
*ROUTINE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

Supports the daily activities and functions of the Enrollment Management Division, the Graduate department, and the Vice President for Enrollment Management as required. May represent the Enrollment Management Division and/or the Vice President for Enrollment Management on various community and university committees, organizations, or groups. Other duties as assigned.

*Minimum Education:* Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred

Required SkillsCandidates must have 2-5 years of progressive management experience in higher education Significant administrative and leadership experience in higher education, summer programming, and business development experience Experience defining and measuring learning outcomes, program excellence, and student success Understanding of sound institutional financial practices and demonstrated responsibility for the fiscal and operational success of such programs Entrepreneurial passion for innovation, including demonstrative responsiveness to higher education/summer camp trends and success in meeting enrollment and financial goals Evidence of effective self-motivation, sound judgment, and diplomacy Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication Minimum travel is required

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the University’s auto insurance carrier.
