ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS1. Adheres to assigned work schedule 2. Performs duties with care and attention to detail 3. Maintains safety and cleanliness standards. 4. Maintains equipment in sound and safe order. 5. Attends staff meetings and trainings. 6. Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies. 7. Other duties as assigned. This role occasionally uses standard lawn care or office equipment. ? PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. ? The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.? This position requires the ability to occasionally lift store or janitorial products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time, shift position.? A typical shift is 8:30am-5:00pm with a 30-minute, unpaid lunch break.? The usual camp workweek is six days on and one day off, including training, staff meetings, and regular duties.? This summer camp position is exempt from minimum wage and overtime regulations per State of Washington wage and hour law. ? TRAVEL This position is required to live onsite at camp.? There are no other travel requirements.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS 1. 18 years of age or older 2. Strong English language skills? PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE1. Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical activity, sexual orientation, etc.). Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful. 2. Experience with anti-racism practices and coalition building.
