The Director of International Undergraduate Student Outreach and Admission will be responsible for developing and managing the strategy and implementation of international recruitment, admission, and enrollment for undergraduate students residing outside the U.S. This position will collaborate with all members of the admissions team on processes related to inquiry cultivation, virtual and on-campus visits, scheduling interviews, and application tracking and outreach. This position will also be the primary point of contact for external international recruitment partners and work with offices across campus on various elements of partnerships and onboarding focused on international students. This position will be comfortable navigating international markets, either in person or virtually, and will assist in increasing international diversity for the School from established and new markets. The ideal candidate will be multilingual to assist with communication across multiple key international markets.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Manage personal follow-up strategies with international inquiries applicants, high school teachers, and school and independent counselors.
  • Make high school presentations, visit counseling offices and attend college fairs, portfolio days, and other events, virtually and in person.
  • Maintain and process files from applicants to enrolled students.
  • Evaluate and verify international transcripts/mark sheets, degree/diplomas, and exam scores for undergraduate applicants.
  • Assist with special events hosted by the admissions office, virtually and in person.
  • Be available to work some evenings and weekends, which may include overnight due to different time zones.
  • Liaison with external international recruitment partners to hold agencies accountable for results including retention of international students.
  • International travel as needed.
  • Maintain general knowledge regarding regulations governing international students and scholars as dictated by the agencies of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience working with international students and/or other marginalized populations.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship and/or Permanent Residency to be able to work in SEVIS.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under frequent deadlines.
  • Outstanding oral and written form communication skills.
  • Possess a working knowledge of personal computers and databases.
  • Demonstrate the ability to navigate policy and regulatory nuance, including maintaining confidential data.
  • Possess proven experience in event planning and activities management from start to finish.

  • Be a self-motivated, enthusiastic, energetic, and creative individual with the ability to meet and interact effectively and courteously with international visitors, students, college personnel, and members of the community.
  • Possess strong human relations and customer service skills and a clear appreciation for diverse nationalities.
  • Track record of success enrolling F-1 and/or J-1 students.
  • Prior experience working with and/or managing budgets.
