Position Information
Classification Title Student Services Professional FLSA Exempt FTE 1.00 Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree and 10 or more years' of experience advocating for and implementing change within under represented communities. 3 years' Experience developing and implementing Access and Inclusion programs strongly preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.
Position Summary
The Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions is primarily responsible for the coordination of recruitment initiatives directed towards students from underrepresented populations. Serving as an integral part of the Admissions management team, the Admissions Officer IV will develop recruitment strategies designed to attract and enroll a diverse population of qualified undergraduates. The A.O. IV will develop and maintain campus and community-wide partnerships and will provide regular communication to college and high school administrators, teachers, and students. In this role the A.O. IV will review applications for admission and provide input in student selection. There will be some supervision of professional staff.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
The incumbent will have six or more years of work experience with progressively increasing levels of responsibility in higher education, or a similar field, but preferably in the area of admissions.
Physical Demands
This individual may occasionally lift boxes up to 35 lbs, and will need to drive own vehicle for institutional work.
