Job Responsibilities
The position is responsible for assisting and advising students and parents about financial assistance programs. Disseminates accurate and timely information regarding application procedures, eligibility requirements and Satisfactory Academic Progress standards. Reviews and evaluates financial aid applicant files to determine aid eligibility based on federal, state, and institutional laws, regulations and/or guidelines. Reviews documentation on files selected for the verification process and resolves discrepancies. Makes sound decisions related to review of Satisfactory Academic Progress and Professional Judgment appeals. Posts and adjusts awards as well as authorizes payment of financial assistance in accordance with federal, state and institutional guidelines. Assists with the planning and implementation of policies, procedures and processes of the Student Financial Services Office. Plans, develops and participates in on-campus and community events for students, parents and community agencies within Richland, Lexington and Fairfield counties.

This position is located on the Airport Campus in the Student Financial Services department.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of relevant program experience.
