Job Description/Function
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Manager of Frontline Admissions, the Admissions Advisor is the first point of contact for all Berklee Online inbound admissions phone calls and emails. The Admissions Advisor is responsible for recruiting qualified candidates for the online school appropriately and professionally while maintaining a high level of customer service to prospective and existing Berklee Online course and certificate students.

Job Description/Function

The Admissions Advisor is responsible for recruiting qualified candidates for the online school appropriately and professionally while maintaining a high level of customer service to prospective and existing Berklee Online course and certificate students.
Capabilities Required (Experience, Education, Skills)
- Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in a music-related field
- Up to 3 years of high-quality customer service and/or sales experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management habits
- Ability to work independently and make decisions based on established guidelines
- Must be goal-oriented and highly ethical
- Action-oriented, "can do" attitude demonstrating willingness to accept accountability and responsibility for individual actions.
- Expertise in maintaining a customer database
- Must be a self-starter who works well with others in a team-oriented environment
- A willingness and ability to collaborate with other business groups within the organization to help meet and exceed goals
- Knowledge of today's music styles, leading musical figures, music technologies, and the general structure of the music industry.
- Music Performance, Music Production, or Music Business background preferred
- 1 late shift would be required weekly and some weekend and after-hours work may be required when needed, usually around key deadlines
- Work is usually performed in a typical interior/office work environment, mostly sitting.

- Manage inquiries from prospective students through telephone and email
- Advise prospective students on suitable programs in accordance with their qualifications and objectives
- Maintain a customer service database containing relevant information and profiles that can be used for research, targeting, marketing, and customization
- Make prompt and effective contacts to assure that enrollment and service level goals are met
- Maintain outreach correspondence with the existing non-degree student body
- Understand and communicate Berklee Online policies so that they are easily understandable to students
- Transfer Berklee Online degree applicants, Berklee campus students, and Berklee summer programs students to appropriate stakeholders in a professional and seamless manner
- Actively participating in the hiring process and providing one-on-one training for all new admissions advisors
- Participate in/lead live Q&A webinars for prospective and active students
- Maintain liaison with all organizations and individuals involved in the enrollment and admissions process
- Advise parents, students, and prospective students about educational planning
- Encourage all students and prospective students with counseling and advice
- Proactively staying up-to-date on all new offerings and changes in programming, policies, and procedures
- May have additional project responsibilities when needed
