The Admission Team at Anne Arundel Community College is a committed and diverse group of individuals whose primary responsibility is meeting enrollment goals via recruitment, preregistration, academic advising, and enrollment activities. You will advise prospective students and applicants and their families regarding admissions standards, policies, procedures, and college programs, including dually enrolled students in your caseload.
You will help us achieve enrollment targets by building relationships with prospective students, applicants, families, school counselors, business, and industry, and Anne Arundel Community College s internal customers, your colleagues.
Being able to convert prospects and applicant to dually enrolled students and first-time freshmen is our goal! How do we do this?
Our team plans and implement recruitment programs and special activities, are liaisons with assigned high schools, and businesses and organizations in our territories.
Goal setting, academic advising, identifying, planning and implementing recruitment strategies, time management, data analytics and TEAM WORK!

*Job Duties and Responsibilities*

Data analysis and report writing: Provide statistical summaries, reports, and evaluations of recruitment activities, including, but not limited to the strategies for meeting enrollment targets. Demonstrate a high proficiency in the use of technology, including CRM, ERP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Assist in the development of publications, presentations, and the website.
Demonstrated experience with: Improving college knowledge Conveying brand value Focusing on key marketing messages Paying particular attention to academic and professional outcomes Developing customized presentations or programming based on interests, demographic data, equity, diversity, inclusion, access and accessibility, while including a clear call to action.
Participate in admissions and special enrollment activities, including, but not limited to: open houses, college fairs, the Maryland College Application campaign, recruitment calling campaigns, Personal Registration Days, Drop-In Registration Sessions for the general and minority populations in assigned high schools, and for adult learners in assigned territories in a virtual environment. Coordinate and collaborate with Student Information Services as part of the AACC College Visit program.
Must have knowledge of current national, state, and local trends in admissions and enrollment management. Participate in professional development to stay current regarding best practices for the profession, to understand academic and career program offerings and requirements, career and transfer opportunities, enrollment demographic trends, employment outlook, and to develop cultural competency, in order to establish and implement recruitment and enrollment strategies, that reflect a "student ready" college. Active participation in AACRAO, AACRAO state and regionals, NACAC, HACU or related state and regional organizations is a plus.
Serve on division and college-wide work teams and committees as required.
*Required Qualifications:*
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Psychology, School Counseling, Public Administration, Business, or related field.
A minimum of two years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, including outreach and recruitment.
Experience and/or working knowledge of the functions and operations of a college Admissions Office, experience in secondary school counseling, workforce development, and/or school-based and community programs focused on improving college knowledge and enrolling students in college in virtual and in-person environments.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills, including composition, grammar, punctuation, spelling, editing and proofreading skills.
Ability to interact effectively, tactfully and persuasively with students of diverse backgrounds.
Experience with Colleague, Banner, PeopleSoft, or other higher education ERP's.
Understands the sources of institutional and market data, and how analysis is conducted to develop a recruitment and enrollment plan.
Demonstrate strong general computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to travel throughout the county and occasionally to sites in the local metropolitan area.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Demonstrated ability to conduct admissions and special enrollment activities for the general and minority populations in assigned high schools, and for adult learners in assigned territories in virtual and in-person environments.

Can demonstrate an understanding of the importance of current and emerging technologies to reduce friction and barries to access in order to improve a prospect and applicant's ability to navigate the enrollment process.
Bilingual Spanish/English
