The Role
As an International Enrollment Specialist, you will be responsible for managing inquiries from prospective international students, contacting and qualifying interested students for academic programs, generating new applications, and ultimately driving new enrollments of international students into undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs at NLU.
Outcomes
Essential Responsibilities:
* Managing outbound and inbound communications to a large pipeline of leads/inquiries
* Proactively communicating with prospective students via email, WhatsApp, text, chat, phone, Zoom
* Conduct online and in-person interviews, webinars, etc.
* Qualify prospective students for appropriate programs based on their eligibility, needs, interests, and goals
* Manage applications and enrollments of international students from the point of inquiry, to application, to admission, and through the first week of class
* Assist admitted students through the I-20 and visa process
* Manage relationships with international education agents as well as stakeholders at partner institutions which have articulation agreements with NLU
* Manage relationships with other departments within the university, including International Student and Scholar Services, Admissions, Academic Advising, Housing and Student Life, and Student Finance
Your Competencies
Experience, Skills and Competencies:
* Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and database systems; such as working with CRM systems (e.g. SalesForce), SIS systems (e.g. Banner), Office applications (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and social/chat applications (e.g. WhatsApp, WeChat, Facebook, etc.).
* Effective organizational skills to manage and control a high volume of outbound calls
* Excellent and professional verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under deadlines and handle pressure professionally
* Demonstrate a strong sense of international and multicultural awareness and understanding
