Position Summary
Direct advising and student services for all students matriculating in the Department of Applied Statistics, Social Science, and Humanities, including academic advisement, student activities, student recruitment, admissions, and new student orientation. Serve as liaison to central School and University administrative offices to facilitate requests or resolve problems concerning housing, academic records, health services, and student activities and programs.
Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Master's Degree in Student Personnel, Counseling, Education, or related. Priority will be given to those with some training in Applied Statistics, Data Science, or Quantitative Social Science.Required Experience:5+ years experience in supervision, advising and developing, marketing and administering programs.Preferred Experience:Priority will be given to those with an understanding of the growing field of Applied Statistics and Data Science in the Social Sciences.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with individuals, especially students and faculty. Ability to market programs to target groups, recruit, and retain students. Knowledge of standard office software.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of industry best practices for advising, student support, and admissions.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $58,500.00 to USD $104,000.00.
