Job Description Summary
Penn Engineering Online is seeking a temporary Application Reader to review applications for the MCIT Online and MSE-DS Online programs.
Job Description
The temporary Application Reader will work closely with the department's Operations Manager to review and evaluate applications. The Reader will be responsible for timely communication and entering evaluations within the application database, Slate.
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for reviewing applicationson a monthly basis and meeting application review deadlines
- Use the Reader Handbook to make accurate assessments on whether or not an application meets Penn Engineering Online guidelines and requirements
- Use Slate to update application statuses, to comment on potential issues with an application and to give the final assessment of the application following the guidelines given in the Reader Handbook
- Keep an accurate count of applications evaluated, hours worked and submitting timesheets every Sunday by 11:59pm EST
- Staying in active communication with the Operations Manager
Minimum Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and able to work in a deadline driven environment
- Great written communication skills
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently with little to no supervision
- Strong organizational skills
- At least one year of data entry experience
- Comfortable with using computer programs and Google Suite
- Previous experience in Higher Education or Admissions preferred but not required
