Position Summary

Represent and market NYU to potential students at on-campus, off-campus, and virtual recruitment events; cultivate relationships with students, Profiles, high school and college guidance counselors to encourage a positive response and interest in attending NYU and promote NYU and its schools and programs. Assist with the achievement of University, geographic, and department enrollment targets by encouraging qualified students to apply to NYU. Review and evaluate students' admission applications. In addition, the Coordinator of Native American Recruitment will be responsible for designing and implementing a recruitment plan centered on the needs, challenges, and opportunities for Native American and Indigenous populations. They will facilitate these recruitment efforts by maintaining existing and creating new community partnerships with community-based organizations, tribal communities, tribal colleges, and Native American serving institutions. They serve as a key member of the Diversity Initiatives Team within Undergraduate Admissions.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Required Experience:1+ years admissions or related student services experience Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Ability to promote the University and to work independently as well as part of a team. Outstanding interpersonal, public speaking, and writing skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations and/or people. Ability to work in a hybrid in-person and virtual structure. Valid driver's license. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively. Understanding of needs, challenges, and opportunities for Native American and Indigenous populations in higher education.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $58,500.00 to USD $85,000.00.
