The Enrollment and Student Success division supports a student's entire collegiate experience from the point of admission through to graduation. We partner with students, faculty and staff to provide a network of opportunities and services that lead to student success. Collectively, the division of Enrollment and Student Success positively influences the health, safety and well-being of the student body. The Global Education Office (GEO) provides a range of services to international students studying at SUNY Plattsburgh, and to all students wishing to study away from campus for a short period of time. GEO is committed to the success of all international students through the entirety of their time at SUNY Plattsburgh, helping turn the risk of leaving home into rewards that will last a lifetime. The successful candidate for this position will serve as a designated school official (DSO) for the F-1 student visa program; counsel new, continuing, and graduated international students on maintaining student status and related immigration concerns; perform data updates in SEVIS; advise international students; develop educational materials; conduct programs about various immigration and administrative processes; coordinate new international student orientation; and have supervisory responsibility for graduate assistant(s). Working with a student population, the willingness and ability to perform evening and weekend work as necessary is also expected.
