Responsibilities
The Manager, Education
Programs Office [EPO] for the Department of Radiology will be accountable for
effective operation of the Medical Student, Residency and Fellowship programs, ACGME
required faculty development, and outreach and continuing medical education
programs for trainees. This includes,
but is not limited to, developing and implementing short and long-term goals
and objectives to improve the overall function and quality of the Department's education
programs and mission. The incumbent will
maintain open, collaborative, and responsive working relationships with the
trainees, faculty, staff, students and administrators within Radiology as well
as personnel from other UCLA and School of Medicine offices. The incumbent will be responsible for
ensuring accreditation through the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical
Education (ACGME), and serve as a liaison for the education programs.
Salary range: $58100.00-$115100.00 Annual
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of University personnel policies and procedures.
- Ability to work as a reviewer/preparer on the on-line personnel payroll system to process actions required for personnel and payroll related transactions.
- Working knowledge of overall goals and functions of the Education Programs.
- Working knowledge of the various benefit programs offered through the University.
- Ability to speak effectively in front of large groups and on a one-to-one basis using appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
- Computer skills to use programs such as Microsoft Office, Care Connect, etc. to prepare reports, correspondence, forms and salary tables with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff members, faculty, students, and administrators.
- Skill in working as a team member and independently to follow through on assignments to accomplish departmental goals with minimal direction.
- Ability to function as a role model using consensus building, effective coaching, conflict management/negotiation, group facilitation and cooperation.
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in medical education and/or equivalent education related to this field.
