Position Summary

Serve as an Academic Advisor for DDS students at NYU College of Dentistry and provide academic support services in order to address student issues and concerns. Collaborate with Associate Director of Advising & Academic Support Services to develop and implement new and innovative services, events, and activities to ensure student success and anticipate changing needs of students. Coordinate the Student Affairs Success Network and related initiatives, including Peer Mentoring, Peer Tutoring, and Student Success Workshops. Plan and lead in-service training programs and workshops for faculty and staff to ensure they have the necessary skills/information to deal with student issues. Provide support in addressing student issues and concerns. Provide support to student life, leadership and engagement programs and College-wide events (including Orientation, Graduation, etc.) as necessary.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education:Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling or related field Required Experience:2+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience in advising and student support services. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Exceptional planning, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels to resolve problems and interpret policies. Excellent organization and writing skills.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $58,500.00 to USD $100,000.00.
